This house is gorgeous. High five Vermont Timber Works. The End.
Gorgeous! And just look at the beams! And the fireplace! And the floor! Oh, and the kitchen! Everything is so rustic and pretty, just the way I like it. I don’t know who owns this home, but I’m seriously considering moving in with them. I don’t know when or how, but I’m determined enough to make it happen. Actually, I guess the easiest option would be to get a post & beam home of my own. I guess. For now, I will just lust over other peoples.
This lovely house is located in a small town in southern Vermont, and in my mind, seems like the ideal New England home. I fell in love when I saw the red doors. For some reason, I’ve always loved the idea of being known as the girl behind the red door. I don’t know why, maybe I’ve watched one too many episodes of One Tree Hill. That’s shameful, and also irrelevant. The next thing I absolutely love about this house is the woodshed and how it is so smoothly incorporated into the design of the home. It looks very nice. Oh! And the best part, it’s a timber frame house, my favorite. Like I said, this is an ideal country home.
You can sleep easy in these Calvin Klein beds for two main reasons. The first reason, they both look incredibly comfortable. The second reason, is that you will have a clean conscience about the environment while beneath this cozy organic bedding. To create these beautiful beds, Calvin Klein used highly durable organic cotton and low impact dyes. These two beds are a great way to stylishly contribute to the preservation of our environment. I think the natural bedding would look gorgeous in a beautiful post & beam home.
So, since I love timber frame homes I decided to do a little research. I posted different drawings of framing styles and then next to the drawings I posted a picture of that particular framing style. I’m partial to the Double Hammer Beam and the Traditional Hammer Beam. Hope you learned something, I know I did.
So, I’m currently lusting over timber frame homes, like I often do. Except, that the post & beam house that I displayed photos of today has an indoor pool, so I’m a little out of my mind with admiration. Unfortunately, an indoor pool isn’t exactly in my budget. Still, I can dream!
I got sidetracked looking at the wonderful pool house. Did I mention how gorgeous the living room is too? Because it is.
Since I clearly have an infatuation with timber frame homes I thought it would be interesting to watch a video of one being put together. The fast forward aspect of this video is quite nice, if only post & beam homes really were built in a short 3 minutes. Oh well, I guess they are worth the wait. Also, watching the video sort of baffles me. I find it impressive that everything in the barn is put in place and just stays together. Of course, I don’t really care how it works as long as the end result looks pretty, which it does! Watch the video and see for yourself.
I found all of these incredible rooms exploring Trendir Modern Interiors. The use of colors in the first room is absolutely fantastic, and the chairs look wonderful. The second room is also quite lovely. Normally, I think of post & beam homes as having a classic country look. However, this timber frame room looks wonderful with the modern design. Finally, the room designed for a child makes great use of space and has a very playful feel. I love all three of these rooms.
I like the idea of having a barn for a home. The concept seems very New England. I think I would decorate the inside to be a classic country look. Also, I would play around with accenting the timber beams inside the home. I suppose barns are technically for horses and cows, they are generally an animal house. Despite that, I think they can be quite nice for people too! What do you think?
This is The Vermont Welcome Center and I’m just beaming over it. It’s not a house, regardless the wood beams are gorgeous. I would love to live in a timber frame home. I think the rafters are just fantastic. Plus, the beams would add a multitude of options for decorating, which would be fun.
This picture may or may not look familiar. I displayed a picture of a room in the same house as this one in an earlier post, Country Living. Deja Vu anyone?
To the point, this dining room is absolutely magnetic, my eyes wander so fast, racing to see all the cool aspects of this space. I’m ready to move in!
