Chair Lamp by NieweHeren
The whole concept of this blog has always been based on my love for books. So it will be forever exciting when I find products conducive to one of my favorite pass-times: reading. This chair design, by NieweHeren, is simple, convenient, and looks great. Three of my favorite characteristics in a good product. I also really love the colors they chose to paint the chairs. The pop of white against turquoise looks fabulous, and almost, dare I say, elegant — which is a hard thing for stool-esque chairs to pull off — but these two definitely do.

Prettiest Rooms Ever

I realize this post title is a bold statement, but these two rooms are absolutely gorgeous, and are such great inspiration. The white floors, walls, and ceilings in the first room all look incredibly light and welcoming, and then are accented with the rustic wood table that has beautifully faded colors, and there is also the carpet with all the light pastels, and even the plant looks beautiful! I don’t where to zero in. As an entirety the room is absolutely gorgeous with such a fresh and natural feel.
The same is true for the second room too — it is beautifully natural. The light blue in combination with the floral accents is so inviting, and the metals are gorgeous.
I am overwhelmed with the pretty. These rooms are from a house on the island of Tinos, Greece and created by interior designer Marilyn Katsaris. I found them at Yatzer, and I am so happy. I just love the pretty. Looking at these pictures is seriously getting my creative juices flowing.
Modern Chandeliers

These lights are all from YLighting and if I do say so myself they are all quite pretty. My personal favorite is the first white chandelier. I think it would look beautiful in a contemporary bedroom. I’m also a big fan of yellow and purple, which is why I’m fond of the other lights. Check YLighting out! Their are still pages and pages of lighting goodies to be seen.
Bathroom Love
My inspiration for the day. Never in a million years would I chose to use such a vibrant yellowy-green color but Sanindusa did and I think it really works. I adore the natural accents and the uplifting nature of this bathroom.
DIY! Sort Of…
I really like these table lamps from Pottery Barn because you can decorate the inside of them with whatever you want! I like that. I’m a crafty person and I like crafty things. Also, I think they look beautiful on the warm wood desks which makes me think they would be beautiful in a timber frame home.

Color Palette
Kleurinspiratie has all sorts of inspirational ideas on their website. It’s filled with beautiful photos, paint chips, and seasonal themes. I like looking at the pictures to get an idea of what colors really work together and how to make certain things pop. It’s a great place to browse around if you ever need any design inspiration. I highly suggest checking it out! Below are some of my favorite photos from Kleurinspiratie.
Floral Symmetry
Their are so many great things about this living room. The first thing that I really notice is the play on symmetry. I love how the shelves, wall art, and pillows all sort of mirror each other. The next thing I notice about this room, is the wilting light. I’m not sure if “wilting” is the proper term, but that’s what I think every time I see bendy lights, which I love. The color palate is clearly gorgeous as are the wood floors. And last but not least, I love the rug. Personally, I would never think to put a black and white striped rug into this room. However, I think it works beautifully and compliments the play on symmetry. I just adore everything about this living room. Oh! The florals, I also really like all the floral in this room.
Classic Chic Decor
So, I conveniently found the Classic Chic Fine Home Decor site by google-ing chic decor, and I’m so glad I did! This store has all sorts of wonderful things; bedding, curtains, candle holders, pillows, napkin rings, and so much more. Classic Chic Decor would look fantastic in a timber home. Also, most things I found were pretty and reasonably priced. I suggest checking it out for yourself.
Flicker Light
I’m not quite sure how I feel about this Brindilles Chandelier yet. I think it looks awesome and is a very interesting design. However, I also think you would need a very specifically styled home in order to pull it off well. I do love how the tips sparkle and the magical aura of the light. At the very least, it caught my eye! The more I look at it, the more I start to like it.
Botanical Lighting
These contemporary paper cut-out lamp shades are designed by Hannah Nunn. She often creates lamp shades with botanical and abstract themes. I displayed both kinds and think they are equally beautiful. These lamps would look exceptional in a country home or a timber frame home. The shades are all convenient, beautiful, and well priced! So far, my favorite is the fuzzy willow lamp shade.

Slinky
When I first saw these lamps I immediately thought of the Human Slinky.
Although, beyond being similar to one of the most amusing things ever, they are also quite useful. These Sternform lamps are able to adjust to face any direction you want them to. This can be convenient for all sorts of things, but in my opinion, most importantly, reading. Furthermore, they are fun to look at and fairly unique. Personally, I would love to use them for decoration in a children’s room.
Walking On Sunshine
If you allign your home correctly, you could be walking on sunshine all day. This apartment, for example, is very well lit. I think it’s a good idea to construct houses in such a way that sun is always shining through. It would be nice to have a New England home designed with the sun in mind. Particularly, with all the recent rain, which makes me want to embrace the sun whenever and however possible.
Extra Extra!
This website is really fun. It has all sorts of extra stuff that aren’t really necessities but are totally fun and nice personalized details. Here are pictures of some of my favorite things.
