Woolrich Furniture and Throw Blankets

In the spirit of the Fall season, I’m doing a country home post. A successful country home combines three elements: comfort, nature, and beauty. Woolrich is an outdoor clothing company that also sells great products for the home. I thought their wood furniture and flannel throw blankets would belong perfectly in a rustic, country inspired house.

It’s worth taking a second look at the coffee table. Below the glass surface is a crafted wood canoe. I think that’s such a great detail that would really bring character to any room in a rural home.

Designer Love: Sebastian Brajkovic

Sebastian Brajkovic is an amazing artist and designer. The pieces displayed above, along with many of his others, demonstrate fine art skills. The distribution of colors and painterly quality of the Lathe 1 chair is absolutely stunning. Furthermore, The Lathe Table 1200 is suggestive of a ceramic pot manipulated on a wheel with the spiraling rings. Sebastian Brajkovic is an inspiration.I hope these pieces are just as interesting and beautiful to you as they are to me!

Chair Lamp by NieweHeren

The whole concept of this blog has always been based on my love for books. So it will be forever exciting when I find products conducive to one of my favorite pass-times: reading. This chair design, by NieweHeren, is simple, convenient, and looks great. Three of my favorite characteristics in a good product. I also really love the colors they chose to paint the chairs. The pop of white against turquoise looks fabulous, and almost, dare I say, elegant — which is a hard thing for stool-esque chairs to pull off — but these two definitely do.

Temple Table

This is a super gorgeous table by Hiroyuki Tanaka Architects. The shape of the table resembles a temple, and my mind is totally blown. It’s gorgeous.  I love <3 the temple table.

OOOMS: Dutch Design

Sixpack

Wire Frame Table

OOOMS is Dutch company that focuses on high end design. They clearly supply innovative, unique, and beautiful products. I’m particularly fond of the OOOMS wire table. Also, the OOOMS Sixpack is a totally cool, but simplistic design! I’m just generally impressed.

Prettiest Rooms Ever

I realize this post title is a bold statement, but these two rooms are absolutely gorgeous, and are such great inspiration. The white floors, walls, and ceilings in the first room all look incredibly light and welcoming, and then are accented with the rustic wood table that has beautifully faded colors, and there is also the carpet with all the light pastels, and even the plant looks beautiful! I don’t where to zero in. As an entirety the room is absolutely gorgeous with such a fresh and natural feel.

The same is true for the second room too — it is beautifully natural. The light blue in combination with the floral accents is so inviting, and the metals are gorgeous.

I am overwhelmed with the pretty. These rooms are from a house on the island of Tinos, Greece and created by interior designer Marilyn Katsaris. I found them at Yatzer, and I am so happy. I just love the pretty. Looking at these pictures is seriously getting my creative juices flowing.

Verandah House Furniture

This furniture is pretty. I think it would look great in a beach house, or a girl’s bedroom. The bright colored upholstery is really fun. It’s all from Verandah House. They have more furniture, and it’s all great. I’d definitely suggest checking it out!

Framed Objects

Framed Objects by the.

Yes. That is my initial reaction to this wonderful idea – just YES. I love it so much! One of my biggest problems with decorating is I like something new every week. This wall decor is the perfect solution to that problem, it’s one stable object, but you can be infinitely changing its appearance. One week you could have pink flowers, a green book, and a red scarf, then the next week you could have purple flowers, a blue book, and green scarf, OR you could switch up the type of objects being displayed. So many possibilities. It’s just a never ending, but simple, DIY project. Love, love, love the framed objects.

The Lock-Cup

This is the lock-cup by Efrat Gommeh. I think it’s pretty funny. I do like knowing that their is always a mug for me, and this mug is completely undesirable for pesky mug thieves. It’s definitely a silly idea, and could be a really fun birthday present, or any sort of silly gift!

Homeport

So I’ve recently moved to Burlington, VT. This city is filled with art, music, and a culture that keeps my infinite thirst for pretty things quenched. One store in particular, Homeport, really blew my mind. I wish everyone could visit Homeport and see all the pretty live in person, but I realize that’s not practical. So I pulled some pictures from their website for a little taste of how great the store is. Online, they have a whole section for cutting boards! The store just has so much good stuff: definitely check it out. I promise it will be worth your time.

Blue Willow Mug

Bamboo Dish Rack

Oh! and if you click the pictures, they bring you to the Homeport page, and give you a little bio on that particular product. My particular favorite is the bamboo dish rack. I have one in my house – it looks great, and is really nice for letting dishes dry on. I’m curious about how useful the wine picnic table would be, but I think it’s a neat concept, so definitely worth posting. Of course, all the other stuff I picked I think is great too. I mean really, who wouldn’t want fabulous scissors with pretty patterns?

Designer Love: James Michael Howard

I so rarely find designers where I wholeheartedly love every single room they put together. Normally what happens is, I find a room I really love, and think “wow I should find this designer” and am let down that I don’t love everything else they’ve done to the same extent. James Michael Howard was an exception. I saw one room of his, went to find more, and was so pleasantly surprised that every single room I’ve seen that he’s designed is simply magnificent. His use of colors, textures, and ability to mesh architecture and interior design is inexplicably fantastic. Picking out pictures to post was a terrible task.  I wanted to post every single room, but I finally decided on 3 great James Michael Howard examples. Although, I highly suggest you browse through more of his designs. Sooooo worth it.

I adore the cabinet, armchair, dining table, and the mirror. They’re all designed so beautifully. Restoration Hardware also has some really fantastic wicker furniture that is definitely worth checking out.

I Still Have A Thing For Books

When decorating a space I think it’s really important to extenuate hobbies, interests, passions, and general things that ya just like, and for me the #1 things I like to have extenuated are books. Lonny Magazine has a great picture archive of superbly decorated bookshelves. Below are two of my favorites. I love the art, the color, and the drama! Oh so pretty :)

I’m back!

I just can’t help myself. All I ever want to do is shop. I am a firm believer in the concept of retail therapy. After 10 minutes of aimlessly clicking through

my favorite blogs, and interior design websites, I stumbled upon Crate&Barrel and was overwhelmed with all sorts of home goodies. Just below are some of the things that popped out at me as super fantastic. I love the floral center piece bowl, the samona dinnerware, and of course the calypso bottles.
